Bangladesh sets clock one hour forward from Today.

The Daylight Saving Time (DST), first ever in Bangladesh, would start at 2300 hrs tomorrow. It means offices and businesses would open and close an hour earlier than usual.

People would shift clocks forward by an hour and leave them that way until October.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would release a first day cover tomorrow at 2245 hrs at her 'Jamuna' official residence to mark the occasion.

The government estimates that 250 Mega Watts of power per day could be saved by having more daylight hours in the evening so that people avoid using electric lights.
